Artscape Theme

(1989) Duration: 1:00

ARTSCAPE was an arts based interview series created by Michel Samson for broadcast in the Louisville market. The show produced several episodes but, ultimately, was not picked up for broadcast publication. Julius Friedman created the video for the introduction to the series. Julius Friedman was also the Louisville based artist who produced the famous "Ice Cream in the French Horn' poster, among so many other interesting and surprising works of visual art.

The music for the Artscape Theme eventually became the overture-like, first movement of my orchestra work titled Short Stories, which was eventually retitled as American Rivers Suite. The music is scored for full symphony orchestra.
